FAQ's
What makes Cornerstone Wealth Management different from other advisory firms?
You work with a team, not just one advisor. When you have a question or need to make a decision, you benefit from the collective knowledge and experience of our entire group. We're backed by LPL Financial, the nation's largest independent broker-dealer, which gives us access to the tools and resources of a national firm while maintaining the personal service of a local team. Whether it's completing paperwork or navigating a major financial transition, we collaborate internally to seek thoughtful, well-rounded guidance.
What should I expect during my initial consultation? What should I bring?
Your initial consultation is a no-obligation meeting where we get to know each other. We'll talk about your financial goals and concerns, explain how we work, and figure out if we're a good fit. Bring any financial documents you'd like to review, such as investment statements, retirement account information, or a personal budget. If you don't have everything organized, that's fine too. We can work through it together.
How often are portfolios reviewed or rebalanced?
We monitor our in-house portfolios on an ongoing basis and rebalance as needed. Reviews are guided by market conditions, changes in your personal situation, and your long-term goals to keep your investment strategy aligned with where you're headed.
Can you help with 401(k), 403(b), or other employer-sponsored retirement plans?
Yes. We help individuals and businesses with employer-sponsored retirement plans, both while you're employed and after job changes. If you have an old retirement account sitting with a previous employer, we can help you locate the custodian and walk through your distribution options.
Can you help with estate planning and beneficiary reviews?
Yes. We don't prepare legal documents, but we review estate planning strategies, beneficiary designations, and account titling to make sure everything aligns with your overall financial goals. When appropriate, we'll coordinate with your estate planning attorney to support a cohesive plan.
LPL Financial and LPL representatives do not provide tax or legal advice.
Rebalancing a portfolio may cause investors to incur tax liabilities and/or transaction costs and does not assure a profit or protect against a loss.
